Objective

Aim

The project's aim was to develop an online tool which enables detection of the entre/intrapreneurial potential of young people between the ages of 17 and 25 in order to give them better advice in their career choice. Special emphasis was given to social, organisational and personal competencies (soft skills). Young people's entre/intrapreneurial potential was assessed on the basis of criteria arising out of national standards, with the aim of transparency, comparatibility and mobility.

Outcomes

  • an interactive simulation game "Banana Milk Shake" (only in German) which aims to promote entrepreneurial spirit amongt young people between the ages of 17 and 25. Users must put themselves in the shoes of an entrepreneur who wants to create a new drink and put it on the market. To do so they will go through the various stages of creating a business: market research, marketing, accountancy and financial management, personnel and scheduling, etc.
  • an online assessment tool that enables the measurement of skills, motivation, personal characteristics, level of experience and the contextual conditions for business creation. Users fill in a questionnaire on line, which comprises 63 questions focusing on 6 key themes: contextual conditions (4), personal characteristics (21), motivation (5), attitude (10), competencies and knowledge (14), professional experience (9). Once the questionnaire has been completed, users get the test result, which enables them to find out where they are in terms of the level required in each area to start an entrepreneurial activity. They can print out all the results in a document on headed paper, which they can then use as a reference for their future contacts with trainers or experts in providing support in business creation
  • a user manual which aims to help every target person and group to use the ECENT products in an appropriate way by giving them more specific information about how the self-assessment tool has been thought out and designed
  • links to useful resources in the various partner countries and access to many skills and knowledge tests available on the web.
